Trip Report: On a Mission for Odwalla

If you missed the last update, check it out here.

This will come as no surprise, but it was still raining. And it was actually getting a little downpoury.

We were both getting pretty hungry so we decided to hit up Sleepy Hollow. This way we could get waffles and my one true love (after Flynn and Rapunzel of course)-Odwalla lemonade.

But the line was wrapped around the building. Since everything is made fresh, the line can be pretty long with even a few people in front of you.

So, we decided to get out of line and head to Columbia Harbor House. That way we could get out of the rain. So, dad ended up eating here twice today.

We both got the chicken nuggets with fries and frozen Odwalla slushes. So, I finally had some Odwalla in my life. we ate slowly and the restaurant was pretty quiet. Our seat was in a little alcove.

Originally, the plan was to catch the Happily Ever After fireworks. Since it was still raining a lot we figured it would get cancelled. So, I made us FastPasses for Monsters Inc.-there weren't a lot of options.

We stopped at my girl Rapunzel's bathrooms on our way to Tomorrowland. Of course while I'm in there doing my business I hear the fireworks start.

Why wouldn't that happen?!

Dad asked if I want to go around the castle to watch. I ended up saying no because I'd rather see it from the beginning. So, we pushed through the massive crowds that stopped in the middle of the road (insert side eye).

We ended up being the only people in the FP line for Monsters and it was a pretty small group. But we were full of good humor.

My dad wasn't picked as That Guy which was a surprise because he usually is. He was picked to play Mike though. He had some issues being one-eyed so I had to help him out and covered one eye with my hand. Then, we did a late-night spin on the TTA. It's so pretty at night with all the lights.

After that we were both pretty beat so we called it a night.

So were a crap-ton of other people. Dad ended up walking back to Bay Lake and I took a bush to All-Star Music. I didn't have to wait too long and got to sit which is always nice.

I got back to the hotel. In the gift shop I bought some cream cheese for my bagels and Mucinex for my cough.

I took some notes on the day, took a shower, and went to bed.

Trip Report: Journey Over the World

If you missed the last post you can read it here.

Since we couldn't test track, we decided to check out Mission Space. The green version-which had recently been updated-was a walk on.

I've never done any version of Mission Space. And don't think I'll ever do the Orange/Intense version because I'm a baby with a sensitive stomach.

We rode with a little girl and her dad. She couldn't even touch the buttons it was so cute. It was an interesting ride, but didn't blow me away. And it's over pretty quickly. I would ride again, but only if I was in the area and it was another walk on.

The storm was still going on. we got an email from Disney that Test Track was closed so we could use our FP up to 9 (if it cam back online). Or we could use it on another attraction.

Dad suggested Soarin' which was new, too. But I kibashed that. Even though Mission Space isn't super-crazy it still upset my stomach. As I get older, motion is harder and harder for me to deal with.

So, we went for a go-to favorite-Spaceship Earth. It's always a relaxing ride and kept us out of t he rain for a decent amount of time. For some reason, part of my dad's head was cut off in the picture.

Then we decided to leave Epcot. We hopped on the monorail to go back to the Magic Kingdom. This time there was no security check. I seem to have an obsession with Disney security.

Trip Report: Foiled Again

If you missed the last update you can check it out here.

We thought that since we had already gone through security to get on the monorail we wouldn't have to do it again. But we were wrong.

Once we were through the security we headed to the DVC member lounge. It was a nice place to relax. Plus, you get free snacks and drinks. I got a orange Hi-C from the Coke Freestyle machine and a bag of Lays potato chips.

The lounge is at the top of the pyramid at the Imagination Institute so you have a nice view of the sky. It was starting to look gray. I pointed it out and we were trying to figure out if the sun was setting or if it was raining.

Surprise!: It was rain.

Again.

So, we headed to the Food and Wine Festival Center to look around and try to let the storm pass.

I didn't buy anything, but it was nice to look around and get an idea of what was around. There was some really amazing chocolate art pieces in the Ghiradelli area. We also had a great experience with one of the Ghiradelli employees. He was great and I recorded it for my vlogs.

It was raining even harder now. Apparently, we aren't having any luck with the evenings.

So, I put on my coat and rigged my poncho up over my backpack to protect it. And my dad put on his poncho.

We stopped at the bathroom on the way to Test Track. And to no one's surprise, the ride was down because of weather. There was thunder and lightning with the rain.

Trip Report: Monorail and I Make a Friend

If you missed the last post, check it out here.

When we got of the TTA we looked for our family. And we found some. Lisa was with Eleanora waiting for the others to get off Astro Orbiter. Eleanora (who isn't even 1) was being quite the trooper-all the kids were. We chit chatted for like 20 minutes.

We were going to head out, but wanted to use our Buzz FastPasses first. But the line was crazy long. Some of my cousins said they had had some issues with it. Since Buzz is something we can easily do another time we decided to skip.

We were off to Bay Lake Tower to rest in my parents' room. Maybe this should be a surprise anymore, but the monorail line was crazy. Like we may have even waited for another monorail. So, I suggested we just walk it. I'd rather walk some more than stand.

After resting for a bit, the plan was to go to Epcot for the evening. Denise decided to just stay in and rest. So dad and I made a Test Track FP for 6 and were off.

It was time for my first monorail ride of the trip.

Security at the Contemporary was easy. The guard commented on my pineapple ears which I was now wearing. Then, he saw the Punzie ones in my bag and asked if I made them. I said yes and he showed them to the other security guard.

With the new security, the walk to the Epcot monorail at the TTA is so much easier now.

We had to stand which is fine. Then, I made a friend.

While I was standing, something touched me and scared me. It ended up being a little boy in a stroller next to me. He was maybe a little older than Eleanora and his mom apologized. I said it was fine.

He kept petting my leg. I was wearing Lularoe leggings which are pretty soft. I actually felt bad getting off the monorail and leaving him because he was so transfixed.
