Day 3, Part 4: Living that Poly Life

After lunch we wanted to head out of the park.

But first we had to stop at the Emporium I got some nice jewelry, pins, and a Big Thunder puzzle.

The parade was about to start, so we bolted out of there and took the monorail to the Poly.

My parents were staying there in a DVC studio, so we were just going to relax there. It's a nice hotel, but not really my style. I do like the new lobby set-up and decor.

They were on the second floor of Morea and had a lake view. Troom had a great view of the water, bungalows, and the castle. It would probably be a great place to watch Wishes. Wink. Wink.

I chilled on the balcony while they napped. I took the time to charge my phone and external battery with my dad's cords. This is why you should travel with someone who has the same phone as you.

The balcony was so nice. The weather was perfect and I love hearing boats honk their horns as they come and go.

A dad was playing football with his son on the beach which was just so cute.

Day 3, Part 3: A Friendship Celebrashun

Since we were in Fantasyland, we decided to watch Mickey's Philharmagic. It's a nice attraction and I don't remember being able to smell things like apple pie before. Maybe I'm just unobservant.

But there's always something that seems off about the video. Might just be me.

It was a little after noon and we had lunch reservations at 1:30. We decided to do Pirates to kill time. But the wait time was like 45 minutes. That's crazy and we didn't want to risk being late for lunch.

Instead we watched The Country Bear Jamboree. I know it isn't super popular, but we enjoy it.

The show was fun like always. And the theatre was like full which I'm not sure I've ever seen.

Once we got out we decided to check in for our reservation at The Crystal Palace since it was 1:15.

We waited outside on the porch and my dad and I played heads up. It was nice because we were in the shade and Dram Along with Mickey was playing in the background.

We were seated after about 10 minutes and saw the characters pretty quickly. I will do a review separately so I don't want to go into too much detail.

At first, I missed getting a picture with Eeyore. He's a fave so I was sad. But then he came back around and the day was saved.

I really enjoyed the food and our server was great. I would eat there again.

Day 3, Part 2: The Other Mine Train

After our stop at the best bathrooms ever we headed to Tomorrowland. We had for Space Mountain at 10:30 so we wanted to be in the area.

When we got there, the wait for Buzz was 25 minutes. Except it wasn't. The line was continuously moving and went very fast.

I got over 400,000 points which was great, but I really wanted to be a galactic hero.

Then, it was TTA time. The ride stopped moving right before we got on. But everything was perfect once we were on the ride. And we took in the sights of Tomorrowland.

When we got off the TTA our Space Mountain fastpasses were ready. It was a fantastic thrilling ride.

We had 7 dwarfs fastpasses at 11:30 and I wanted some Strawberry Lemonade which I had heard about so we headed to Fantasyland.

The cart is a little whole in the wall kind of place, but the strawberry lemonade is truly amazing. I highly recommend it and it's very refreshing. We basically just chilled by the Ariel ride while we enjoyed our drinks.

Under the Sea or whatever that ride is called was only a fifteen minute wait so we hopped in line.

Then, it was time for our first ride on The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.

I enjoyed it. The ride was more thrilling than I expected, but it isn't anything crazy. It's definitely a must do ride.

Day 3, Part 1: Reunited and it Feels So Good

This morning I woke up at 6. I grabbed a banana and headed to the Magic Kingdom.

I was there around 8:15 and waited for the show. The Welcome Show was definitely a priority and I got a fairly good spot.

While waiting I made a custom Disney-themed deck on the Heads Up app. I figured it would be fun to do while waiting in lines.

The show was great as usual. It was modified because the railroad was closed which was a little sad. But it still kicked the day off right.

Now, my notes are a little un-organized for this morning, but I'm pretty sure this is the order we did things.

Once the park was open we made a beeline for Big Thunder. This part of the park was pretty dead so we were able to walk right on.

Then, we were hungry so we went to Sleepy Hollow. You know, you have to have priorities when you do rope drop at a park.

It was time for me to be reunited with the amazing and delicious nutella and fresh fruit waffle sandwich.

It's just so good and very filling.

After breakfast we were ready to use our fastpasses for The Haunted Mansion. The little fastpass things make fun noises when you scan your magicband which I thought was a nice little extra.

Since we were in the area we stopped at the Tangled bathrooms. We have a policy to basically only use these bathrooms when in the Magic Kingdom.

Day 2, Part 6: Stuffed and Shopping

After dinner we were all stuffed so we headed toward the marketplace to do some shopping.

We only stopped at a few stores. I’m not a window shopper and like to get in and out. So, I really only like to go in stores I might actually buy something in.

I did buy a few things at World of Disney which is crazy. Also, don’t ever have to go to the bathroom in there. That store is like a maze. Learn from my pain.

Back to the shopping.

I bought some of those trashcan salt and pepper shakers which were on my list of things to buy. I picked the Fantasyland and Frontierland ones.

Before the trip I wanted a Crush plush, but I was derailed by green aliens. Those suckers are just so adorable.

I’m 26 and running out of room for my stuffed animals. #noshame

At this point, my whole body hurt and I was a little miserable. I came on this trip with severe back pain I’ve been dealing with and trying to treat for months. I brought a full prescription of my muscle relaxers and I was feeling it now. My hips were really starting to hurt, too. Especially, if I sat down for a little bit and then had to get up.

But you do what you have to for Disney.

We stopped in Basin and I got two tubes of bath salts. I like baths and have been trying to take more to help with my back.

Then, we checked out the Marketplace Co-Op, because people rave about it. Honestly, I don’t get the hype. The Wonderground Gallery was underwhelming and I felt the other merchandise wasn’t unique. I do like the idea that it will change periodically.

At this point, we decided to call it a night.

Unfortunately, the All Stars were sharing a bus. It was a long line but after about 10-15 minutes two buses showed up.

Back at the hotel, I showered and went to bed by midnight.

The next day we were going to the Magic Kingdom and my dad and I wanted to catch the Welcome Show. Being in that show is one of my dream jobs…in case you cared. It just makes me so happy.

Day 2, Part 5: Dine, Dance, Drink, and Bowl

It was almost six and our dinner reservations were at 7 so it was off to the bus stop. Now, I really thought we could take a bus right to Disney Springs from the Animal Kingdom, but you can’t.

Instead we caught a bus to Saratoga Springs. Bonus: there was already a bus waiting for us. We had to wait about ten minutes for a boat to Disney Springs.

Once we arrived we slowly walked to Splittsville. I thought it would be really busy since it was a Saturday evening, but it wasn’t. We heard them talking to another party and there were bowling lanes open. I kind of wish we had bowled, too.

Well maybe someday.

It’s definitely a nice restaurant and I like the retro theming. It’s definitely loudish and kind of dark, but I don’t like dark restaurants.

The food and stuff were amazing. Our waiter, Luis, was especially great. And he made one of the best Arnold Palmer’s I’ve had.

My parents both got the happy hog burger. That thing was huge and they said it was delicious. And it’s kind of a discussion burger since it’s unique.

I went with a regular old bacon cheeseburger. Just like my drink it was one of the best I’ve ever had.

We definitely enjoyed our time there. Even though we didn’t go bowling it was fun to watch other people. I do plan on reviewing our time there in more detail separately.

I plan on eating there again on future trips and recommend checking it out if you haven’t already.

Day 2, Part 4: Nobody’s going to follow a stick

Lunch was over and the plan was to check out Africa and do the Safaris. But we checked the wait times one more time and they just kept going up so we called an audible.

Instead we caught the last Flights of Wonder show. This was great because we thought the show was down during our trip.

It’s a great show and if you haven’t seen it you should make it a priority. One of the birds was being a little trouble maker but he was cute. And the unpredictability of live animals is part of what makes the show so fun.

Then, it was off to Dinoland because our Dinosaur fastpasses were ready. The posted wait time was only 20 minutes so we got in the stand by line before using our fastpasses.

20 minute wait my butt. It was a complete walk on. We always try to do funny and crazy pictures because Denise is afraid. At this point, you probably think my dad and I are horrible people. Maybe we are.

First, we went for a traditional scared face which was inspired by my favorite emoji.

Then, we rode again with our fastpasses. This time we tried to act bored.

Man, I love this ride. And the pre-show. And Felicia Rashad.

There were some hilarious shirts in the gift shop. I wish I had bought them.

Next, we headed into It’s Tough to be a Bug. Another fun and entertaining attraction. I really like the bug themed movie posters in the waiting area.

When the show let out it was almost 6 so we decided to head out. It was a good afternoon at Animal Kingdom.
