Trip Report: Christmas Tree Stroll (Day 5, Part 3 | December 2022)

We saw some more puppets and then decided to leave since we were all tired. This meant we were missing our Na’Vi River Journey Lightning Lane, but that’s fine. We had a dinner reservation at Disney Springs so we went to my parents room at Saratoga Springs. They had a one-bedroom, so I took a nap on the pull down in their living room. I ended up sleeping for about an hour and a half.

After I woke up from my much-needed nap, we walked to Disney Springs. Our dinner was at Enzo’s Hideaway. It was a well-themed restaurant. The food was good but a bit overpriced. For Italian food in Disney World I would prefer Via Napoli or Mama Melrose’s.

We spent the rest of the night doing the Christmas Tree Stroll. I love this new version that’s like a scavenger hunt. And they had more trees this year.

My mom sent me a picture of Murphy, my cat, while I was walking around. It’s always nice to see him.

With the trail finished, I went to the bus stop. A bus pulled away just as I got there so I had to wait about 20 minutes. Sometimes you’re just unlucky. Back in the room, I was happy to go to sleep.

Trip Report: Time to Say Goodbye (Day 8, Part 2 | November 2020)

We decided to do The Little Mermaid ride, but went to Fantasyland via the Castle. Who knows how long we’ll be able to walk through the Castle so you have to soak it in while you can.

The line The Little Mermaid was also oddly long. We assume it was another cleaning cycle. Once we got off we decided to head out.

On our way we saw the Princess Cavalcade. It’s always nice to see these ladies especially in their winter outfits.

Since we still had some time to kill before our Magical Express pick-up we took the monorail to the Grand Floridian. We wanted to check out their Christmas decorations. Monorail Black was waiting for us when we got to the station. Always nice when things work out like that. The Grand Floridian is one of my favorite hotels-especially at Christmas.

Then, we took a bus over to Disney Springs. I finally took a picture of the Tigger plush wearing a mask. I’d seen him several times and thought he was adorable. We got some lunch at the Daily Poutine. Their poutine is always delicious and nothing like the abomination from Le Cellier.

The trip was coming to an end so we slowly walked back to Saratoga Springs. We rested for a little bit and I gave my mom a call to check in. Sadly, we did have to get out bags and board the Tragical Express.

I miss Magical Express taking care of your bags, because the walk to the Southwest ticket counter was rough. We waited for our plane to board at 6:20 and make our way back to New York. The only good thing about an end to vacation is that I’m reunited with Murphy.

Steps Walked: Unknown...apparently I was too tired to write it down.

Trip Report: Dinner at the Boathouse (Day 4, Part 4 | November 2020)

Our dinner reservation was at the Boathouse so we had to get to Disney Springs. We walked to the Contemporary to catch a bus. We waited about 15 minutes-definitely one of our longer waits, but we weren’t in a hurry.

At Disney Springs we had about an hour to kill before our reservation. Can I talk about the Tigger plush wearing a mask at the temp check? He’s so cute!

We walked around and looked at the Christmas trees. We like this new Christmas Tree Stroll because it’s less congested. There was a map that you could complete and get a prize. It took awhile to find the maps, but we eventually found them at The House of Blues. We were able to find all the trees. The Fantasia-themed tree had a Baloo sticker, so I’m guessing there was a change for what that tree’s theme was supposed to be. The prize was a button. It isn’t anything fancy, but this was also a free activity.

Since we didn’t have any shopping to do, we checked in at the Boathouse a little early. We asked to sit outside to enjoy the view and were seated immediately. That was a happy surprise. Our waitress recognized my ears were from an Etsy shopped called Clearly Magic which was cool.

I got a cheeseburger-I didn’t write down my dad’s meal. He did get the blueberry lemonade which is an alcoholic drink and he did like it. We ordered a side of green beans, but they didn’t come with our meal. It worked out because that would’ve been way too much food. So, our waitress was nice and just took them off the bill.

I wasn’t feeling good again so we finished up and walked back to the room. I fell asleep pretty quickly.
