Trip Report: All the Disney Boats (Day 3, Part 1 | July 2021)

 Friday, July 23rd

Today I set my alarm for 9:30, but ended up waking up around 9 AM. I slowly got around because we weren’t trying to rush this trip. We left the room around 10:45 and caught a bus to the Magic Kingdom.

Overnight they put the 50th label on the Castle. It was cool to be there for something like that. It was all over social media that day.

I went to Sleepy Hollow to get a nutella and fruit waffle. Sadly, they are no longer available all day 😢 so I was too late to get one. Instead we checked wait times and decided to go for Tomorrowland. On our way in we saw the TTA moving which was a happy sight.

The Buzz wait was 40 minutes and was long. I didn’t think it was going to take that long especially since it’s an omnimover. The wait ended up being 20 minutes. I did win, but both of us had a poor showing.

When we got out, the wait for the Peoplemover was 15 minutes so we got in line. Tron is really coming along. The TTA is always a pleasure and we had a nice breeze most of the time. We stayed in Tomorrowland, and did Carousel of Progress. It’s a classic and I enjoy it. What I don’t enjoy is people standing constantly. The poor CastMembers kept having to come over the loudspeaker to tell them to sit down. Their standing also caused us to watch the first two scenes twice. I tried to take advantage of the situation and take in all the details.

The line for Space Mountain was too long for us so we left Tomorrowland. We went to Fantasyland since it was close by. We rode It’s a Small World which I think is a fun ride. I get why people find it annoying, but it works for me. We also got to board a bit early because they needed a party of two in order to fill a boat. We also placed our mobile orders while in line to pass some time.

Then, we went to Adventureland and rode Pirates of the Caribbean. It’s a fun ride with the added bonuses of air conditioning. Plus, the sweet smell of Florida water.

Trip Report: Eating a Waffle (Day 5, Part 1 | January 2021)

 Thursday, January 28th

Before I officially wake-up, I want to talk about something that happened last night. My stepmom talked in her sleep and I was awake when it happened. It was a little creepy. I’m a known sleeptalker and I’m now sorry for anyone who has ever shared a room with me.

Anyways, I got up and out of bed around 7:30. I showered, got around, and drank my tea out on the balcony. It was a little chilly and breezy this morning, but I still love being out on this balcony.

At 8:40, we said our sad goodbye to this lovely room. The Yacht Club may be my favorite hotel now. I need to make more money so I can afford to stay here again. We left our bags with bell services and then went to the bus stop. There was already a Magic Kingdom bus there so we fast-walked/jogged to catch it. The driver was very nice and waited for us.

The trolley car with a horse was out when we walked through the gates. They had to switch the horse to the other end of the trolley to pull it into the barn building. I never thought about how they do that before.

It was breakfast time so we went to Sleepy Hollow. We all got the nutella and fresh fruit waffles. It’s one of my favorites and sadly is only available at breakfast now. I also got an apple juice.

We ate at a table in the little market area across from the Liberty Belle. It was a bit windy so we kept having to stop stuff from blowing away. When we were done and I threw our trash away, I found a pair of ears on the ground. I didn’t see anyone looking for them so I found a CM and gave them the ears.

We were going to do Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, but it had a 45 minute wait. I know that’s actually really good for Mine Train, but none of us love it. So we opted for the superior mining themed attraction-Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. The line wrapped down into the Frontierland train station so we decided to wait until later.

We did get to see some Country Bears out in Frontierland, too. A cavalcade came by so we stopped for that. I love the dresses the dancers wear in this cavalcade.

We decided to head towards Tomorrowland. But I wanted to go  the long way-AKA through the castle again. So, I soaked it in and took pictures in and around the castle.

In Tomorrowland, we rode Buzz. I won again, but Galactic Hero is still evading me for now. I got a pretzel at the Lunching Pad. I’ve done this a couple of times now on the last day of my trip.

Trip Report: So Many Cavalcades (Day 2, Part 2 | January 2021)

Next, we headed to Tomorrowland and did Space Mountain. It went down while we were in line-hopefully not a trend for the whole trip. It ended up only being about 10 minutes so not too bad. Dad and I tried to dab in our picture because we are totally hip and with the times.

The People Mover was moving, but sadly no people were allowed. Hopefully, we can enjoy it next time.

So, we hopped on Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin to defeat Zurg. I got 536K which is good, but no Galactic hero. We were traveling shortly after the Presidential Inauguration and I was obsessed with the Bernie memes so I had to try to recreate it in my picture.

We were hungry so we mobile-ordered at Peco Bill’s. We stopped in the Hub to do the order in case a cavalcade came by. The little Tinker Bell one came out so that worked out. I’m definitely a Tink fan so I was happy to see her.

On our way to lunch, we also ran into the Princess Cavalcade. I got the nachos for lunch which were good like normal.

I heard another cavalcade from the restaurant so I went outside to see it while my parents finished their lunches. I caught up to it. Then, Chip and Dale were out on the overpass thing by the Country Bear Jamboree. I saw Molly from All Ears, but was too scared to say “Hi!” because I'm a chicken.

My parents caught up to me and we went to Adventureland for Pirates of the Caribbean-another true classic.
