Trip Report: Lunch at the Riviera (Day 4, Part 2 | July 2021)

We continued in the same direction and rode Journey Into Imagination. I love Figment!

It was hot so we stayed in the Imagination pavilion and went to the DVC lounge. I got some root beer while dad got the cherry Coke Zero. They also had animal crackers. It’s nice being up there. You can rest and recharge-yourself and your phone.

Rested up we made our way to World Showcase to head out. On the way, we filled our water bottles. I stopped in the gift shop at the International Gateway to buy the Food and Wine ears.

Cast Members were rushing around. When we left the store, we saw a woman sitting who was overheated. The Florida heat and humidity is no joke. Please take care of yourself. I hope she had a fast recovery.

My shopping complete, we got on the Skyliner to go to the Riviera. Does anyone else feel like the Skyliner is superior to the monorail, because I’m starting to feel that way. Don’t tell my dad. Our Skyliner did stop a bit and it swung in the wind. It’s just an added thrill ride.

Our plan was to pick up lunch at Primo Piatto. We’d heard mixed things about being able to order at a resort’s quick service if you aren’t staying there. We were able to submit our mobile order with no issues. As we waited four our food, I also looked for a dinner reservation.. Typically, we don’t do sit-down dining on these father-daughter trips. On one trip we got a last minute one at Trattoria Al Forno which was an amazing meal. We thought it would be fun to try again. Trattoria didn’t have anything. I check Trail’s End because we always talk about it, but never eat there. We ended up with a reservation at Citrico’s.

For lunch we split a pepperoni flatbread and the herb fries. It was good, but nothing mind blowing. Goofy and Pluto also came out while we were eating. They were on the balconies off the lobby. I stopped in the gift shop to buy the Topolino’s plushes. I regretted not buying them in January so I had to take the opportunity.

We went back to All Star Movies. At Riviera we just got on the first bus since any would take us to a park. An Animal Kingdom one pulled in as we got to the bus stop. Then, we took a bus to our hotel.

Trip Report: Park Hop to Epcot (Day 2, Part 3 | January 2021)

We decided to leave Magic Kingdom and park hop to Epcot so we made our way out. We stopped in the Emporium and I picked up several pairs of ears.

My parents were still shopping so I hung out at the end of Main Street. The Put Your Ears on cavalcade/parade came by. I guess I had great timing today.

The Dapper Dans were on the train station-so we started and ended our day at Magic Kingdom with them. The Hundred Acre Woods gang (Eeyore, Piglet, Rabbit) came out too.

We had to take a bus to Epcot because the monorail still wasn’t running. A bus was waiting when we walked up so our good timing continued.

First, we rode Test Track which is always fun. I really wish they would redo the queue though because it’s so boring. AM I the only one?

We checked out some of the art kiosks since the Festival of the Arts was going on. As someone who struggles with stick figures, I’m in awe of how talented these artists are.

We stayed in Future World and went to the Imagination pavilion. I got distracted by Pooh playing in the grass with his butterfly net. He’s just too adorable. We did still get to see my favorite purple dragon-Figment. I had to take a picture of him and send it to my co-worker because she’s scared of him.

Then, we walked up the most tiring incline and went to The Land Pavilion. Of course, we did Living with the Land. It’s always fun and peaceful for me. Then, we did Soarin’. It’s beautiful, but it really scares me. I’m trying to get over these fears.

Day 7, Part 1: Hunting For Chip & Dale (December 2019)

If you missed the last update, you can find it here.

Today is the last full day of our trip which is so sad. That also means the paperwork for the Tragical Express was on our door. There were still tools in the room next to us. We’ll see if they really finished up yesterday.

A bus for Epcot pulled up pretty soon after we got to the bus stop, so we were off. The line for security was backed up, but moved pretty fast. We entered through the AP line.

We were going to try to do standby for Frozen Ever After since we didn’t get FastPasses for it this time. First, I stopped by a gift shop for the Chip & Dale scavenger hunt in the World Showcase. The CM let me get my prize right now so I didn’t have to come back. The prizes were fairly heavy-duty plastic ornaments. Naturally, I got one with Figment on it.

Then, we were finally off to Frozen Ever After. It was probably about a 40 minute wait. I checked the app and all the boarding passes for Rise of the Resistance were gone again. Frozen is a fun ride, but I do still have a nostalgic fondness for Maelstrom.

Next, we checked out the Mexico pavilion. We went on a boat ride with the 3 Caballeros. We looked for Chip and Dale which was hard but we were ultimately successful.

We headed back to Norway to look for Chip & Dale. We stopped to watch the Barn Santa. It was a really interesting and fun performance. Definitely one of my favorites. We found those chipmunks again and were off to China.

This pavilion’s Chip & Dale were really hard to find. There was a guy making very elaborate cotton candy. It’s almost too pretty to eat.

Then, we headed to Future World to use our Living with the Land FastPass. I just love this ride! And it was decorated for Christmas this year. I’m sure it’s even prettier at night.

For lunch, we stayed in The Land and went to Sunshine Seasons-we always sit in the “Winter” section for some reason. I feel like it’s always less crowded and a little quieter.
