Day 5, Part 6: Boo to You!

We went to the Poly for a little bit to rest and change into our Halloween costumes. We were going with pretty basic costumes so I just brought mine in my day bag.

My parents were Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head and I was Jesse from Toy Story.

We headed to the monorail a little after six. Getting our wrist bands and treat bag was pretty quick and painless. And we saw lot of Mr. Potato Head costumes. Probably because it was so easy.

First up, we had to get dinner at Pecos Bill's. Now, we were a little apprehensive about the new menu, but wanted to give it a try. I got the chicken fajita and a drink in the Country Bears Jug. Which was on my to-buy list for the trip.

I really liked the food. It was delicious and very flavorful. The chicken looked like it was a few weeks old, but it actually was very good and moist. The fixin's bar was pretty good and had a lot of options. I do miss the old menu, but I would eat here again.

After dinner we found out how lucky we were to eat when we did. The lines were crazy long when we headed out.

Now, it was trick or treating time. First, in Adventureland. The lines were often long, but the castmembers were really cranking us through. Then, it was off to Frontierland for those candy stations and a ride on Big Thunder.

Riding Big Thunder at night is one of my favorite things to do.

When we got off, the Boo to You Parade was going to start soon.

Originally, we were going to watch the second parade, but changed our minds. We were at the very start of the parade, but a little far away so I couldn't get very good pictures. It was also raining a little and pretty humid. Like sweat was dripping down my legs.

This also wasn't my proudest moment. I was disappointed by view since this was my first time seeing the parade and my back started to really bother me. I had a little bit of a break down.

But I pulled myself together as much as I could and enjoyed the parade.

I really want to go back to the party and get a great seat for the parade.

Day 5, Part 5: Spending All My Money

After the horrors of MMMHops, we raced to China so I could get a strawberry smoothie. It was absolutely delicious and exactly what I needed.

I also did some shopping. I collect elephants so I had to pick up a figurine.

In Australia, Denise got the spicy lamb meatball. I didn't try it, but my parents liked it.

We were planning on leaving soon so we just grabbed a cronut and the cheddar cheese soup from Canada. The soup was good, but a little to peppery and I would've prefered it be more smooth or creamy.

The cronut was amazing  though. If you've never had it-try it. While eating it was sprinkling. It wasn't horrible, but just enough to be annoying. So, it was a good time to leave.

On our way out, we stopped to ride Imagination because Figment is my homeboy. Today I wore a shirt that had Figment and Dreamfinder on it. I got tons of compliments.

Then, I spent an obnoxious amount of money on more Figment merchandise. It's the thing I spend the most money on every trip. Clothes, pins, plushes, you name it I buy it.

After that, it was time to head to the hotel for a little rest.

Day 5, Part 4: Reliving my Youth

It was off to Japan. I wanted to buy some "crazy" foreign food for my co-workers and Denise wanted to do the pick a pearl thing.

I ended up buying more than just food. You could spend hours in that shop. Right when I walked in I saw a whole display of Sailor Moon merch. Naturally, I had to buy a bunch of it-pins, phone case, and notepads.

They had to wait about thirty minutes so after checking out I went to the Morocco pavillion. It's such a beautiful place and it's nice to just wander around. I also looked at the food, but it was mostly spices.

Back in Japan, Denise was finishing up. She ended up getting two pearls. It also started to rain a little bit.

We found ourselves at the American Adventure and the next show was soon. So we decided to check it out.

I don't remember ever doing this before so it was something new.

While we were waiting a jazz group was playing. Unfortunately, there were no Voices of Liberty today. The jazz group was great, but I would've loved to see the Voices of Liberty because people love them and I've never seen them perform.

The theatre was very beautiful. I liked the show, but it might be confusing for people who don't have a background in US history. Which I'm guessing is most non-Americans.

I would watch it again, but don't feel the need to do it every trip.

Since we were in the area, we went to the Fife and Drum so I could get some MMMHops. I don't really drink and have never found a beer I like. In fact, I figured I wouldn't like this, but had to try it since it's Hanson's beer and I am a child of the 90s.

I didn't like it at all. I wanted another drink ASAP to wash the taste out of my mouth. But I'm happy to say I tried it. Plus, I was the first New York ID for the castmember which was funny.
