Day 6, Part 1: Animal Kingdom Again!

We slept in a little bit since we had a late night. We left the room to catch a bus around 9 AM. They were handing out transportation trading cards for some reason.

At Animal Kingdom we went on the Safaris. This is a great ride and is always different. We didn’t get to see the zebras, but there were a lot of warthogs. Our driver was also fantastic.

After that we got lunch at Flame Tree Barbecue. My dad thought the food was very good, but I thought it was so-so. I got the pulled pork.

I do like the seating area. Unfortunately, this one guy kept feeding a big bird. Then, when they left the bird kept trying to steal other peoples food. I don’t know why people do this. It isn’t good for other guests or the animals.

I’m pretty sure this is when Dan and Lisa met up with us.

And it was time to see Finding Nemo the musical. It is such an amazing show and if you’ve never seen it you should. The music is beautiful and it makes me cry every time.

Day 5, Part 5: I’m Traumatized by Pirates

After our grand circle tour of Tomorrowland we took in Main Street. Then, we headed to Adventureland and did the Jungle Cruise.

It isn’t a favorite but it was ok. We had an excellent skipper which helped make the ride.

After that we decided to get on Pirates of the Caribbean. Little did we know it would be our last ride of the night.

A little bit into the ride we stopped moving. This has happened before so we weren’t concerned. We were in the room were the woman is chasing her husband/boyfriend/lover/random dude when we stopped.

Announcements kept playing to stay in the boat and our boat would float forward and backward, but we never moved enough to get out of that room.

Oh, and we couldn’t see any other people. The boats in front of us and behind were empty.

At one point some teenage boys did come into our view and got out of their boats. I think they were trying to get off the ride. The CMs did not like that and the announcements became angry.

Eventually they turned the music off. It was cool but also weird. The animatronics were still moving so you could hear the mechanics. It’s kind of like the clicking on Small World.

At first it was fun to be stuck because you get to really look at everything. But after thirty minutes it got frustrating. It was late so we were tired and it started to feel creepy since couldn’t see other people.

Eventually we were rescued. Three CMs showed up. A younger woman in waders pulled our boat to the side and they helped us out. She was nice and joked with us.

There were stairs we got to go up to get backstage. We couldn’t take pictures, but we were quickly outside the ride. We were still backstage and they told us to just follow these yellow arrows to a gate. I thought it was odd that no one made sure we didn’t wander off.

We got to another CM at a big gate. He gave us anytime fastpasses for the inconvenience. The park was closed at this point and was very empty so we went back to the hotel.

I still love Pirates as an attraction, but every time I ride it now or hear the music I get a little anxious. It was definitely an interesting experience.

Day 5, Part 4: Pecos Bill’s and Parades

After resting at the hotel we took the monorail to Magic Kingdom. It was around 7 and we didn’t want to be stuck somewhere by the parade so we went over to Frontierland.

We grabbed fastpasses for Big Thunder and then went to Pecos Bill’s for dinner. It was pretty empty so we got a table near the window and were able to see the parade go by while eating.

It was a good meal and we always enjoy it. I tried to get onion rings instead of fries, but I ended up with both somehow.

After dinner we tried to use our fastpasses but Big Thunder was down due to technical difficulties.

The parade had ended and Wishes was now going on. We headed to Tomorrowland. We wanted to ride Space Mountain, but that was down so we did Buzz instead. I rode with my dad and beat him.

Next, we got on the TTA because it’s always a fun one. It was extra fun because the lights were on in Space Mountain.

We stayed in Tomorrowland and I finally got to do the Laugh Floor. I thought it was fun and enjoyed myself, but I don’t need to do it every time. My dad ended up being That Guy. It was actually extra funny because he had been picked the last time he did the attraction. When we walked out some teenagers recognized him and were yelling that it was That Guy. It was pretty funny.

Day 5, Part 3: More Epcot

After lunch we spent some more time in Epcot, this time with Dan and Lisa. We checked on the wait for Soarin’ but it was 70 minutes so we said no.

Instead we went over to The Living Seas. We rode in a clamshell with Nemo. This is a nice attraction, but it isn’t anything special. And then we hung out with the manatees. They are my favorite animal and I love them so much.

Next, we checked out Spaceship Earth. I rode with my dad and he put his sweatshirt over his head so he was a black void during the “future” part.

Then, our fastpasses for Test Track were ready. Dan and Lisa didn’t have fastpasses so they got in the single riders line so they could still ride. And they got lucky because they were able to ride together.

Dan never had Beverly so we decided to go to Club Cool. Unfortunately, they were all out-it’s a popular beverage option. So, we decided to rest in the hotel for a little while. As, I’ve gotten older we’ve been doing more resting in the afternoon.

Day 5, Part 2: Bangers & Mash

Once we got to Epcot we grabbed fastpasses for Test Track from 3:50-4:50.

We had lunch reservations at the Rose and Crown soon so we headed back to the World Showcase.

First, we did the Gran Fiesta Tour. It’s a good ride, but I was tired and it’s a calm dark ride so I was kind of falling asleep.

Then, we went on Maelstrom. I really loved this attraction and miss it. The movie wasn’t showing, but that wasn’t a huge disappointment.

It was time for lunch. Dan and Lisa were also joining us.

Rose and Crown is a must do for us. Mostly because my dad and I love bangers and mash. I don’t even need to look at the menu.

I don’t remember what everyone got, but I know someone got fish and chips. My dad got the scotch egg and cider and black in addition to the bangers and mash.

We all enjoyed our food and it was a fun meal.

We did get seated outside which was nice. Especially since it wasn’t as cold as it was earlier in the trip.
