Book Review: Christmas Eve Fireworks

If you missed the last update, you can check it out here.

After dinner we headed back up to the concourse.

We checked out the Contemporary's gingerbread display. It isn't as elaborate as the others, but it's still really cute. It's a little Castle display with Cinderella, Prince Charming, and Fairy Godmother. I liked it and tried to check out the details.

There was sort of line to take pictures and whenever I would get to my turn, people would cut in front of me. I didn't want a picture of me, but up-close shots. Eventually, I just went up and stopped being bothered by being in their pictures. I just wish people would be more considerate of those around you.

I looked at the treats-there was a great Cast Member working, but didn't buy anything.

Then, we hopped on the monorail. We ended up getting off at the TTC. Our room was really close to the TTC so we figured that would be a shorter walk than walking from the Polynesian lobby. I filmed the walk and it took about 3 minutes.

We spent some time in the room then dad and I relaxed on our little patio. We were able to watch the fireworks from the Magic Kingdom. I wish they pumped in the music, but it's still a great show. I also wish I took better fireworks pictures.

It was a wonderful and festive end of my Christmas eve.

Trip Report: Special DVC Dinner (December 2018)

If you missed the last update, you can check it out here.

We still had some time to kill before our Christmas Eve dinner at 3:00. DVC offered a special even with dinner, music, and character meet and greets.

So we checked out the main concourse and the gift shops. My parents bought some stuff and I bought a ring.

Then, we were off to the Fantasia Ballroom for our dinner. There were some singers signing Christmas Carols at the front door and the whole atmosphere was great.

There was a picture opportunity with Mickey and Minnie. It was a photopass picture-they provide a physical copy at the end After everyone got pictures with them you could go back with your own cameras.

The food was really good. There were these cheesy potatoes which I absolutely loved. There were also tons of desserts and drink options.

There were additional characters-Goofy, Pluto, Donald, and Daisy. We were able to meet with all them, but it was a little hard-the line was long and characters were only out for like 15 minutes.

And the characters were great. Donald especially was super sassy. He was shaking his butt and Daisy kicked him. When we went to take our picture, one of the CMs noticed the "snow" was flipped up so she fixed it. Donald was not a fan of this so he flipped it back up. He was spectacular.

It was an awesome meal with great interactions. It was totally worth the cost and a great experience.

Trip Report: More Resort Touring

If you missed the last update, you can check it out here.

After breakfast Dad and I checked out some more decorations at the Contemporary. Mainly, we were looking at stuff outside. The big Christmas tree for the Contemporary is outside. It's actually near where cars drive so it's hard to get good pictures of.

We also had dinner in one of the ballrooms later so we checked that out. My dad and I are both real weird and like to know where we're going.

Then, we hopped on a boat and went to the Wilderness Lodge. The boats-especially in the Magic Kingdom resort area-are so relaxing and have some great views.

The Wilderness Lodge is not my favorite hotel-it's just not my aesthetic, but it's very beautiful at Christmas. I do really like a rustic or woodland Christmas look.

I bought a few things at the gift shop. Merry Christmas to me!

I also checked out the cabins-at least the outside. It wasn't the most excited walk, but it is very quiet.

We relaxed a little bit and took in the atmosphere. Then, we got on another boat and were headed back to the Contemporary. Our boat captain entertained us with some Christmas carols.
